Where There’s Smoke is a weekly podcast that explores self-development through the filter of current events, pop culture, and experience. We surf the zeitgeist through an array of audio clips, quotes, concepts, and conversations.

In the spirit of The Daily Show and This American Life, we throw everything into an audio centrifuge that separates “what” from “why”. You walk away with insights and actionable solutions to improve your business, relationships, and almost any area of your life.

Dec 29, 2015

In preparation for 2016 and the next new episode of Where There’s Smoke, we thought we’d review some important concepts that can help you hit the ground running with your resolutions. Our next episode will be on the topic of willpower and, not coincidentally, by the time January 12, 2016 rolls around, some people might already be struggling (or have completely given up on) their resolutions! What most people don’t realize though is that willpower is not about powering through, and much of its power comes from the foundation of the resolutions or goals you set in the first place.

With that in mind, Brett is here to help you set that foundation, and in the process also recommends revisiting 3 Where There’s Smoke episodes before January 12th: First, our Can You Feel It? (Success); A Step In The Right Direction (Values); and A New Type of Hustle (Stillness).

Then in the second half of the mini-episode, Nick joins Brett for a special expanded version of everyone’s favorite segment: WTS Digs.
